Task
In order to promote the then-upcoming release of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, I ideated and created a ‘Guide to Surviving Raccoon City’, where fans had to find all the Umbrella Corporation icons hidden throughout the creative. As a big fan of the Resident Evil game franchise, this was dream project for me. I was able to utilise my knowledge of the game and celebrate the film’s fan service by filling the creative with relevant easter eggs and hints to the films plot. As we weren’t supplied with any prop photography from the film, I needed to challenge myself by relying on a mixture of screenshots from the film and compositing to achieve the layout I wanted. I adapted this creative in 2 different formats;
• Seamless Instagram Carousel.
• Gamified 360 Facebook Video.
Results
Gamified 360 video hosted on the official Resident Evil Movie Facebook page with 9M+ followers.
360 video adapt gained over 12K views.
Contest-led mechanic with partnership from Capcom to reward winners with a code for Resident Evil Village.
Seamless Carousel posted on Sony Pics UK Instagram with 35K+ followers.
